Scott Lake Lodge

Some places deserve the whole screen.

so the film does too.

How do you show a remote fly-in lodge to people who have never been there?

The destination film follows the guest’s trip, from the flight in to the fishing, the lodge, and its people.
Scope & engagement details

Scott Lake Lodge is a remote fly-in fishing lodge. Our destination film follows the trip in the order a guest lives it: the flight in, the lakes and the fish, the lodge itself, and the people who make the trip.

The trip

Four chapters, cut from the film.

The film follows the trip in order. Scroll through it here in four short, silent chapters, then watch the whole film below.

  1. Lakes and islands below the wing strut of a floatplane

    The flight in

Over the lakes by floatplane, then down onto the water.

  2. A guide lifting a pike in a landing net beside a Scott Lake boat

    The water

Guides, boats, pike, and lake trout, from the net to the release.

  3. Scott Lake Lodge from above at dusk, surrounded by forest

    The lodge

The lodge and its cabins in the forest, and the deck over the lake.

  4. Guests talking around a table on the deck at sunset

    The people

Staff and guests, at the table and on camera.

Inside the experience

Tell it in the order it happens.

Two anglers and their pike, from our destination film.
01

Start where the trip starts.

The film opens on the floatplane: the propeller, the pilot’s hand on the throttle, and the island from the air. Viewers arrive the way guests do.

02

Give the fishing room.

Guides, boats, pike, and lake trout carry the middle of the film, from the net to the release and below the surface.

03

End with the people.

Staff and guests speak on camera, and the last shot is the deck over the lake at sunset.

The whole trip

Watch the
whole film.

Four minutes and forty-eight seconds, sound on: the flight in, the fishing, the lodge, and the people who run it.

A forested island on a northern lake at sunset
Some places deserve the whole screen.
Film description

Floatplanes land and take off on northern lakes. Guides and guests run aluminum boats, cast, and land pike and lake trout. Aerials follow islands, forest, and the lodge from above, and a black bear passes through the trees. Staff and guests speak on camera in the lodge and outdoors. The film closes on guests relaxing on a deck over the lake at sunset.
